PROFILINE Cut+Finish 5/5 – Medium Cut Compound 250 ml

Medium cut compound, well suited to one-step polishing. High cut for quick correction of defects, including P1500 or finer sanding marks, leaving a high gloss in a single step. Long working time without drying out, produces very little dust and wipes off easily. Silicone-free. Cut level: 5 Gloss level: 5

Shake the bottle well before use. The compound can be used with either a rotary or a dual-action polisher, depending on the condition of the surface, the hardness of the paint and the result you want. With a rotary polisher it is used as a first step to correct defects, including P1500 or finer sanding marks, even on fresh paint. The compound is recommended for use with the pads 498541 and 492241; the choice depends on the condition of the surface, the hardness of the paint and the result you want to achieve. You can also choose a wool pad if needed. With a dual-action polisher the compound is used for one-step polishing (with pad 498600), for correcting surfaces in moderate condition (with pad 492341) and even for heavily weathered surfaces (with the hybrid wool pad 493800). Put some compound on the pad of your choice, spread it at low speed with moderate pressure, then polish at a higher speed with light pressure. The pad may be slightly tilted at first, but must then be kept flat on the surface. On freshly painted surfaces, several short polishing passes, adding a few drops of compound each time, are recommended instead of one long polishing cycle. Wipe off the compound residue with a microfibre cloth (451000). Always check the result by cleaning the surface with a microfibre cloth and PROFILINE Prepare paint cleaning spray (237300), then inspect it with a lamp. A second polishing (finishing) step with Perfect Finish polish (224300) is recommended for a flawless result. Clean the pad regularly with compressed air during use.
