PROFILINE CutMax 6/4 – Heavy Cut Compound 1 L

Highly efficient heavy cut polishing compound. Well suited to fairly weathered and scratched paintwork. Removes P1000 or finer sanding marks. Produces very little dust, wipes off easily and is silicone-free. Cut level: 6 Gloss level: 4

Shake the bottle well before use. The compound can be used with either a rotary or a dual-action polisher, depending on the condition of the surface, the hardness of the paint and the result you want. With a rotary polisher it is used as a first step to correct defects, including P1000 or finer sanding marks, even on fresh paint. The compound is recommended for use with a wool pad (493141) or a hard pad (492241). The choice depends on the condition of the surface, the hardness of the paint and the result you want. With a dual-action polisher, use it with the hybrid wool pad (493800) or the hard pad (492321), depending on the condition. Put some compound on the pad of your choice, spread it at low speed with moderate pressure for 10 seconds, then polish at a higher speed with light pressure for 20 seconds. Times and speeds may vary with the type of polisher used; the times given refer to one polishing cycle on an area of about half a square metre of medium-hard paint. The pad may be slightly tilted at first, but must then be kept flat on the surface. On freshly painted surfaces, several short polishing passes, adding a few drops of compound each time, are recommended instead of one long polishing cycle. Always check the result by cleaning the surface with a microfibre cloth and PROFILINE Prepare paint cleaning spray (237300), then inspect it with a lamp. A second polishing (finishing) step with Perfect Finish polish (224300) is recommended for a flawless result. Clean the pad regularly with compressed air during use. Do not use different polishes on the same pad. Do not use on hot surfaces.
